Tangent Lines via Algebra

Here is a draft problem set for students in a calculus class on how to explain some purely algebraic techniques for finding tangent lines to graphs of polynomial functions. It provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to look back at some of their high-school work and connect it with their current work.
